Did you know that there are actually three types of apkumchi / ball of the foot?
BD Balance After Kicks
Retaining balance before and during kicking is usually not a problem. Here’s a tip for doing the same after kicking – bring the kicking foot back under the body without delay. This returns the centre of mass closer to the centre of balance.
BD Leaning Over To Kick Higher
A key element of kicking higher is leaning over. By dropping the body the leg raises higher. Start low and experiment with leaning more and more. Add this to your flexibility training and you will see higher kicks.
